Codes for easy automated abundance analyses We present two new codes which allow rapid and reliable abundance analyses of ionised nebulae. ALFA is a genetic algorithm capable of fitting emission line spectra of arbitrary wavelength range and spectral resolution with no user input required.NEAT performs a comprehensive analysis of lists of emission line fluxes, propagating uncertainties using a Monte Carlo technique. This is superior to analytical techniques, which rely on assumptions which do not hold for most astronomical data. The two codes together provide a powerful tool for analysis voluminous data sets of emission line objects, such as deep spectra using IFU or MOS instruments.
