Title: A search for tidal features around stellar systems in nearby galaxy clusters Abstract: Based on deep wide-field-imaging data, we search for tidal features around the most diffuse and the most compact low-mass galaxies in the centers of the Perseus and the Fornax galaxy clusters. In Perseus we investigate faint dwarf galaxies to probe whether they are currently getting disrupted by the cluster potential or being protected by large amounts of dark matter. In Fornax we examine UCDs for signs of being remnants of disrupted dwarf galaxies. Within the dwarf galaxy population of the Perseus cluster, we find one galaxy with tidal tails and others with possible signs for tidal disturbances. In the Fornax cluster, we do not find diffuse tidal debris around UCDs, but some of them have large radii. We interpret our results in the light of the timescales and frequency of disruption events as predicted from simulations.
