Poster title: Using NICEST and LINES to construct a star forming history for the Southern high mass star forming regions RCW 34 and NGC 2626 Poster abstract: Optical and NIR photometry were combined together with optical spectroscopy to construct a star formation history for the Southern high mass star forming regions RCW 34 and NGC 2626. NIR extinction laws were derived using the the LINES linear regression method for each region and then extinction maps were built using the NICEST algorithm. Low- mass members were dereddened to get an age and spectral class from the photometry. Synthesis of the photometry and the spectroscopy was used to construct a "big-picture" star forming history for the two regions that showed multiple epoch of star formation
