Oral title: The infrared emission of Seyfert galaxies: study of the torus properties Oral abstract: We present subarcsecond resolution MIR images of a X-ray selected complete volume-limited sample of 24 Sy galaxies. Classifying the MIR morphologies (~400 pc), we find that the majority of the galaxies 75-83% are extended. We find that the galaxies whose circumnuclear MIR emission is dominated by star formation show more extended emission than AGN-dominated systems. We find that the nuclear MIR emission (~70 pc) is AGN-dominated. Now, we are characterizing the torus properties in this complete sample. We find that the covering factors of ty1 and ty2 Sy are different, as it has been predicted.
