The power of optical/IR interferometry:
recent scientific results and 2nd generation VLTI instrumentation
28 January 2005
The scientific programme has been put on-line.
Due to the large and high quality input from the interferometric community, the selection of the contributions to which a talk could be granted was difficult. The guideline was to present orally as many scientific results on astronomical targets as possible. In consequence, many interesting papers on future results or instrumental status have been assigned to the poster session. All poster authors will have the possibility to present very briefly the highlights of their papers just before the poster sessions.
Good news: thanks to the help of the Max-Planck Institut für Extraterrestrische Physik (Prof. R. Genzel), we have found a bigger meeting room and we can accommodate all participants. There is no more waiting list and the registrations are open again for late birds.
The scientific programme has been updated.
The programme for the 2nd generation instrumentation has been finalised and put on line. Please have a look at the programme page.
The deadline for the late abstract submissions or corrections (to be included in the abstract booklet) is March 15.
As you can see, we will have a heavy programme. So the LOC is asking the speakers to respect strictly their allocated time and to provide the electronic version of their presentation (if any) in advance (before the meeting) to avoid loosing time for technical problems.
It is also asked to come to the registration desk with the printed and filled credit card form, to avoid creating long registration queues.
|March 15||The bus schedule between the Garching hotels and the conference venue (ESO / Max-Planck Institute) is now on-line.|
The workshop is finished. More than 170 took part to it. Many interesting scientific results and projects of future instruments were presented. The final programme has been updated.
Thanks to all participants !
The information for authors about the proceedings will be put on-line soon.
