The MIDI Data Flow: First Observing Period

Abstract: MIDI, the first scientific instrument for the VLTI, has been offered to the community since the beginning of the observing period P73. In this article, we present a number of different software tools that are available for the preparation of observations, the processing of MIDI data in real-time during observing, the pipeline reduction of data at the completion of observations and the distribution of these data.
