eclipse can be downloaded from the following WWW site:
http://www.eso.org/eclipse/
The usual way is to download the source code and compile it, following the instructions given both on the Web pages and in the distributed tar files. If you are using Linux on an i386 platform, you can also download the associated RPM file containing both binaries and documentation. Installation is much simpler then.
