If your text has special requirements like
backspaces , you should use STTDIS (SCTDIS) instead of STTPUT. This text will not be recorded in
the MIDAS logfile .

The text buffer in the interfaces above is not limited to 80 characters.
In fact, the routines split the character buffer into chunks of the size of
your MIDAS terminal or window.
