HST Publications

The ADS system is queried:

1. by european PI or CoI name
2. forcing the text field to contain the string HST
   or one of its aliases (i.e. "Hubble Space Telescope" and "Hubble"!)

The ADS text field indeces also the title.

Four lists are created: Refereed PI, Refereed CoIs, Non-Refereed PI, Non-Refereed CoIs.

Results

• There are 1058 non-refereed publications of PIs or CoIs (906 in 1983 - 1998 range)

  of which:

  • 630 are from the PIs
  • 963 are from the CoIs

  
  

  
  

• There are 1437 refereed publications of PIs or CoIs (1202 in 1983 - 1998 range)

  of which:

  • 906 are from the PIs
  • 1352 are from the CoIs

  
  Hence, 821 papers (= 906 + 1352 - 1437) are the publications having both PIs and CoIs as authors. Very likely those publications are based on HST proposals.
  690 of those 821 papers were published in the 1991 - 1998 time span.

  The 85 papers (= 906 - 821) which have a PI but not a CoI in the author list are available here.

There are 531 refereed papers of European CoIs with American PIs.
There are 428 non-refereed papers of European CoIs with American PIs.
