A. Richichi's Job Profile

My position at the European Southern Observatory is that of VLTI Instrument Scientist.
Approximately half of my time is dedicated to aspects of instrumentation and operations of the Very Large Telescope Interferometer. In particular, I follow the construction of the AMBER and MIDI instruments.

I am also involved in other activities at ESO, such as: the definition of a list of calibrators for interferometry; the Genie/Darwin nulling interferometry experiment; the definition and preparation of auxiliary software tools for interferometry and for the management of interferometric data; the identification of reference stars for the PRIMA dual feed facility; and in general, scientific applications of interferometry.

Whatever time remains free, I like to spend on my personal research interests.
