Data Reduction

The data reduction for the FIASCO spectrograph has been written with MIDAS, a public domain image processing package developed at ESO, and some UNIX Bourne shell scripts. It can be installed on any UNIX system where MIDAS is available. You can obtain the latest MIDAS release and the supported platforms in the ftp://ftp.hq.eso.org/midaspub

The Data Flow is an automatic process waiting for raw images delivered by the CCD control software. It handles the files to the Pipeline System, a MIDAS session running in background executing a sequence of image reduction procedures.
