Coupling to telescope

(a)

Inclined mirror-diaphragm.

(b)

Exposed fibre to release the
diameter of the mirror-diaphragm.

(c)

Micro-lens on the fibre end where the telescope pupil is imaged on the fibre. The lens decreases the telescope aperture in order to reduce the focal ratio degradation.

(d)

A standard connector with a reflective ferrule acting as mirror. Thebeam splitter allows to locate the image of the star on the fibre.

 (e)

Eyepiece coupled to the fibre end.

(f)

Similar to (c) but the lens is
bigger and the star is imaged directly on the fibre.
