Masks

The Mask tracker GUI allows to create, manage, and select masks. Mask files are stored in the PHOTOMETRY folder, and have the prefix Mask_. Masks can be computed directly from the mask tracker GUI (button "Gui"), using the MIA mask utility. Otherwise, masks are also computed whenever MIA is run on an observation. Newly created masks are displayed once the "Update/Clear" button has been pressed. Masks can be computed for both HIGH_SENS (three file input) and SCI_PHOT (one file input) modes. During the process, a GUI will be displayed which allows one to examine the results. To continue, this GUI should be dismissed. If the global "Marquardt mask" option is selected, MyMidiGui's own ML algorithm will be used to fit the chopped spectra.

Please note that a mask selected will be used both by MIA and EWS. To avoid using a mask selected for a previous observation, loading a new observation will always clear the mask selection.
