MIDI data analysis with MyMidiGui

MyMidiGui is an IDL wrapper for some of the MIA and EWS routines which was originally written to support MIDI data analysis during service mode observations on Paranal. Since the first release (Version 0.2), MyMidiGui has been extensively revised and integrated into the OYSTER environment. This enables easier plotting and analysis of MIDI data with OYSTER after having been reduced using MIA+EWS. The MyMidiGui version numbers correspond to the compatible versions of MIA+EWS.

Installation instructions
Due to the integration of MyMidiGui into OYSTER, the latter package (Version 6.14) must be installed before installing MyMidiGui. Download and unpack the MyMidiGui distribution in oyster/source, which will create a subdirectory called midi
After installing OYSTER, edit the file oyster/oyster.pro to include the correct pointers to the MIA+EWS installation according to the instructions found in this file for running MIA+EWS code. Make sure you have installed MIA+EWS with the same version number as MyMidiGui.
At the OYSTER prompt, type mymidigui to start the GUI.
Description
The current version 1.6 supports the SCI_PHOT mode.
How to use MyMidiGui
MyMidiGui is a tool to support quick-look analysis of MIDI observations as part of Paranal science operations. Therefore, it has limited functionality which focuses on making simple data reduction commands available as GUI buttons.
A manual is currently in preparation, however, HTML help pages are available. Please contact the authors if further help is needed.
