Baptist Church
The Baptist Church at the small village of La Loma has a very special significance to the people of San Andres. It is the place where the slaves were proclaimed to be free. San Andres used to be a British colony before Colombia became independent, and the British influence on language, religion and architecture remained intact until mordern times. The majority of the population are protestants and especially baptists. From the top of the church the whole island is visible.
