I'm an observational astronomer and Fellow in the Directorate for Science at the European Southern Observatory (ESO) near Munich. I also work as an astronomer at ESO's Very Large Telescope in Chile. This coming Fall (2014), I will move to Yale University as a NASA Einstein Fellow. Previously, I was at the Rochester Institute of Technology, the Space Telescope Science Institute, the Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Rochester. My Ph.D. in Astrophysics was advised by Chris O'Dea and Stefi Baum.

I work on star formation and the dynamics of multiphase gas amid kinetic and radiative feedback from active galaxies, whose central engines are powered by accreting supermassive black holes. I am/have been funded by NASA grants stemming from the Hubble Space Telescope, Herschel Space Observatory, Chandra X-Ray Observatory, and Spitzer Space Telescope missions. I am also grateful for partial support from the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme (/FP7/2007-2013/ No. 229517).

(b) CXO and VLA composite of the radio galaxy 3C 75, famous for its binary black hole system and entangled upper radio jets.
