Touraine - July 2004

We left Garching the next day after our moving to go the Loire in France. We wanted to take benefit of the few last days of holidays to visit some places. We went to Joël's uncle René and tante Françoise and saw several times Joël's cousins.

Visiting the Loire Valley avoiding armies of tourisits mid-July is not an easy thing but we succeeded reasonably well. In between two wine testing sessions (Vouvray, Bourgueil, Saumur...)  we discovered  Loches, Monpoupon, Villandry, Chenonceaux (entering from a backdoor...) and the Fontevraut Abbey.
