Since March 1994 I have been working as an electronics engineer within the Detector Systems Group for the European Southern Observatory. The Detector Systems Group is responsible for the development, in collaboration with industry, of new state-of-the-art visible and IR detectors and controllers systems. This includes working closely with detector manufacturers in the specification and design of detectors optimized for our particular astronomical applications. I am also responsible for the design, configuration and delivery of the NGC systems.
