Spell-Weavers Assembly of Dietersheim: Singleton

Singleton Constructed Events

Singleton decks are "highlander" decks, i.e. there can be only one copy of each non-basic-land card in the deck. In addition we have a list of banned cards. The general rules and bannings are detailed below.

Past events:

Our first Singleton event was on April 26, 2008 and was basically a "Legacy" type Singleton. If anyone should be interested then Palles deck-list can be found here: Stuffy's Furnace (Palles RW Singleton).
On November 16, 2008 we had a second singleton event, but this time we had restricted us to cards from the Ravnica set and later (i.e. Ravnica through Shards of Alara, including Coldsnap but not the 8-9-10 Basic sets. If anyone should be interested then Palles deck-list can be found here: It's a Saproling stupid! (Palles GB RAV++ Singleton).

Rules for construction of Singleton decks in general:

Singleton decks must contain a minimum of sixty cards. There is no maximum deck size; however, you must be able to shuffle your deck with no assistance. If a player wishes to use a sideboard, it must contain exactly fifteen cards. With the exception of basic land cards, a player's combined deck and sideboard may not contain more than one of any individual card, counted by its English card title equivalent. All cards named Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest are basic. (The five Ice Age snow-covered lands -- Snow-Covered Plains, Snow-Covered Island, Snow-Covered Swamp, Snow-Covered Mountain, and Snow-Covered Forest -- are also basic lands).

We do not have enough Singleton matches yet to rank players for those alone, so we rank them as "constructed" together with all constructed formats we play. Those are "ABC-common", "Type 1", and "Singleton". Here are the current constructed ratings. For our first event we used the banned lists of the Legacy format and of the Online Singleton format summed. After each event the players are allowed to add cards to the banned list, but only cards that were played during the last event. Basic lands cannot be banned. Each player is allowed to ban (Rank - 1) cards where Rank = players final rank in last event.
