README: VIMOS Pre-imaging Data Delivery

General Information
-------------------

This data package contains raw and processed data from one or more 
VIMOS pre-imaging OBs. The purpose of these rapid-release data 
is to allow you to prepare your further observations. Please keep 
in mind that the data products have been processed automatically, 
with static calibration data, were not verified for their quality 
and are not intended for accurate scientific measurements.

Pre-imaging Data Package Description
-------------------------------------

This pre-imaging package contains:

(1) raw pre-imaging data for one or more pre-imaging OBs

(2) reduced pre-imaging data; please be aware that there may be 
    no products if pipeline recipe fails; products are renamed 
    following the VIMOS renaming scheme described at: 
    http://www.eso.org/observing/dfo/quality/VIMOS/ServiceMode/product_codes.html

(3) log files including association blocks (extension .ab) and logs of
    pipeline processing (extension .rblog); for further description of
    the log files see

(4) a report file containing information about the executed OBs
    and a listing of processed frames in this package

The REPORT file provides a brief summary
of each frame in your package. 
 
IMPORTANT: Whenever OBs are repeated, you have been given *all*
acquired data.  In these cases, you can determine which frame is
associated with which executed OB by comparing OB Start-Time in the OB
and Frame reports.
