Photographs from Hawai'i, December 1997

These pictures were taken during an observing trip to the W M Keck Observatory, Hawai'i in late December 1997. All the images were made with a 30mm Distagon lens on a Hasselblad 501C. Most were taken with an internal polaroid filter (mounted with the E-vector transmission horizontal) manufactured especially for me by Hasselblad: this produces the dark 'equatorial' band in the sky. There are two JPEG versions of each image (just click on the image to get a 600x600 pixel version). Higher resolution copies could be made available on request.
