We started diving when Silvie was doing practical work for her studies
in Curacao, an island in the caribean that used to be dutch and still
is to some extend. Silvie was there for three months and Roy visited her for
almost three weeks. Curacao is one of the places where diving is still
relatively cheap and the underwater world is what you can expect from
the caribean: magnificent (even though allready much has been destroyed by
pollution and the building of luxury resorts on the coast). We needed
not think long and took our first diving course at
diving school Wederfoort.
The second place we dived is the mediteranian - the Cote d'Azur in southern
France. Even though it is no match for the caribean, there's still plenty
of interesting stuff to see there.
A "must see" for every diver is the red sea, so guess where we went on
our honeymoon ...
Now it's time to gain some more diving expierence. Therefore Silvie went to Crete for a diving education programm. She was working at the diving school Scuba Kreta from May untill August 2002. She got her Medic First Aid, Rescue Divers certificate and became a Divemaster. Of course Roy visited her there and made a few dives himself.
