Wanne kop! Wan kupke!

Because we live close to the Alps, we have taken the opportunity to go exploring them. Most of the walks we make are in the Bayerische Voralpen.

1= Rotwand (1885m); eg on Aug. 6th, 2001. With Anke, Martijn, Ton, Bianca, Evelien, Erik, Tiny and Riet.
2= Wendelstein (1838m); Aug. 12th, 2001.
3= Zwieselberg (1348m); Aug. 19th, 2001. With Cor and Riky.
4= Benediktenwand (1801m); Aug. 26th, 2001.
5= Hirschberg (1670m); Jan. 4th, 2002. With Sandra and Pierre. And Feb. 9th, 2002
6= Schloss Neuswanstein; Jan. 20th, 2002. With Ricardo and Raphael.

1) Roy and I went hiking at Rotwand in March. It was our first walk in the Bavarian Alps and it was very cold and windy that day. I was blown away a couple of times, therefore we decided to turn around and come back another time, to make it to the top.
At our second attempt at Rotwand Ton, Bianca, Martijn, Anke, Evelien and Erik were visiting us. We prefered to stay a while at the 'Berghutte' and didn't go the top again.

When Roys parents were here we climmed the same mountain again. This time we finally went to the top.
Rotwand, again Pretty steep

5) The weather was great when we went to Hirschberg with Sandra and Pierre. It had been snowing a lot and the landscape was absolutly fabulous.
Hirschberg Be careful, I will throw a snowball! Pierre, Sandra, Silvie and Roy

6) This is a picture of Schloss Neuschwanstein, taken from the bridge. We were not supposed to go to the bridge: the path was closed because of danger caused by snow and ice. Still, we really wanted to see the castle from this point of view and the slippery walked was worth it.
