             VLT-SW-FEB2007 - RELEASE NOTES FOR IRD
             ======================================

     New features:
     
      1 - Added possibility to split multi-chip images into FITS-extensions
          (change request VLTSW20060221).

      2 - Switching to/from burst mode is now possible in states LOADED 
          and STANDBY.

      3 - Bad-pixel-mask can also be dwonloaded via setup keyword 
          (DET.IRACE.BADPIX).

     Changes:

      1 - The iracqInstallData script now only creates the IRACE directory
          structure in INS_ROOT. To actually install the example files
          for tests in simulation mode the script needs to be called with
          the -sim option (SPR - VLTSW20050364).
