The Milky Way and Nova Centauri 2013
In this image, the southern Milky Way crosses the field at La Silla Observatory. Within the sea of stars, a special one is shining bright: Nova Centauri 2013, also known as V1369 Centauri. On the left is the Swedish-ESO Submillimetre Telescope (SEST).
