Aristarchos observes the Universe

The 2.3-metre telescope at Greece's Helmos Observatory is named after the ancient Greek astronomer and mathematician Aristarchos. He developed the first recorded theory of the Universe that placed the Sun at the centre of the system of planets Many centuries later, it is fitting that his name is remembered in this telescope in his home country.
