ESOshop: Postcard 2017: IC 2944
To celebrate its 15th anniversary, ESO’s Very Large Telescope snapped this intriguing image of a spectacular stellar nursery IC 2944. The fragmented dust clouds in the foreground are being eroded by the UV radiation of the hot young stars. The full resolution image used in this postcard can be viewed and downloaded here.
