Se anuncian los ganadores de las becas para el tercer campamento de astronomía de ESO

Las inscripciones para asistir al tercer campamento de astronomía de ESO para estudiantes secundarios se encuentran cerradas. Más de 120 videos fueron recibidos y los ganadores de las becas ofrecidas por ESO y sus socios nacionales ya han sido seleccionados.
Las siguientes becas fueron otorgadas:
- Por parte del Instituto de Astronomía de la Universidad de Lovaina, Bélgica, a Alexandra Stuer.
- Por parte del Centro de Astrofísica Estelar de la Universidad de Aarhus, Dinamarca, a Josefine Damtoft y Thomas Hansen.
- Por parte de la Sociedad Astronómica Alemana, Alemania, a Antonia Krieger.
- Por parte del Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Italia, a Silvia Ambrosini.
- Por parte de la Escuela de Investigación Astronómica de los Países Bajos, Países Bajos, a Jessie de Kruijf.
- Por parte de la Sociedad Astronómica de Polonia, Polonia, a Edyta Kołodziejczuk.
- Por parte del Fondo para la Infancia de Polonia, Polonia, a Jan Dziedzic.
- Por parte de Ciência Viva, Portugal, a Jessica Goncalves y Joana Rita Carneiro.
- Por parte del Centro para la Promoción de la Ciencia, Serbia, a Nastasija Petkovic.
- Por parte de la Sociedad Española de Astronomía, España, a Carme Homs Pons.
- Por parte de la Sociedad Astronómica de Suecia, Suecia, a Elias Waagaard.
- Para la Universidad de Ginebra, Suiza, el plazo fue extendido debido al bajo número de postulaciones.
- Por parte de la escuela secundaria Eyuboglu, Turquía, a Oguz Kutlay y Onur Kerem Ozmen.
- Por parte de la Real Sociedad de Astronomía, Reino Unido, a Jade Askew y Sim Kumar.
- Por parte del Observatorio Europeo Austral a Ilana Doran, de los Estados Unidos
El campamento, organizado por Sterrenlab en colaboración con ESO, la Red de Difusión Científica de ESO y el Observatorio Astronómico de la Región Autónoma del Valle de Aosta, se llevará a cabo entre el 26 de diciembre de 2015 y el 1 de enero de 2016 en Saint-Barthelemy, Nus, Italia.
Explorando el ámbito del Sistema Solar y los exoplanetas, el campamento ofrecerá diversas sesiones astronómicas, incluyendo conferencias, actividades prácticas y observaciones nocturnas con los telescopios e instrumentos del observatorio. Actividades para sociabilizar, deportes de invierno y excursiones también contribuirán a que el campamento se convierta en una experiencia inolvidable para los participantes.

En total, el campamento albergará alrededor de 56 estudiantes de secundaria entre los 16 y los 18 años. Los candidatos seleccionados serán contactados a través de correo electrónico.
