Number of papers published using observational data from different observatories (1996–2017)

The number of refereed papers published based on data from ESO and other telescopes over the period 1996 to 2017. These numbers are from the ESO Telescope Bibliography (telbib). Note that different observatories use different selection criteria for inclusion or exclusion of papers, which leads to different numbers.
