MACAO

From left to right, this image shows Rob Donaldson, Robin Arsenault and Christophe Dupuy during the commissioning of MACAO, the "Multi Application Curvature Adaptive Optics", which corrects the distortions of the light beams from the large telescopes (induced by the atmospheric turbulence) before they are directed towards the common focus at the VLT Interferometer (VLTI). This image was obtained in November 2001.
