ALMA fibre optic patch panel
The fibre optic patch panel in the ALMA Array Operations Site (AOS) technical building, at an altitude of 5,000m on the Chajnantor plateau. Fibre optics bring the signals from the antennas to the correlator, where they are combined. Image taken in March 2009.
