KMOS@5

Astronomers gather for a group picture to celebrate five years of operation of the KMOS (K-band Multi Object Spectrograph) on the VLT. Astronomers attending the workshop work in all areas of star and galaxy formation using near-infrared IFU spectroscopy. The instrument has provided great insights into topics such as Galaxy Formation and Stellar Evolution. The workshop aimed to assess the impact of the instrument on core science cases and to develop new strategies and programs in light of future IFU instruments.
