The Sun sets behind the Danish 0.5-metre telescope
The sunsets behind the (decommissioned) Danish 0.5-metre telescope at La Silla. La Silla Observatory was ESO’s first observatory and celebrates 50 years of existence in 2019. The observatory is located in the remote Atacama Desert, around 600 km north of Santiago de Chile.
