The Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer
One of the slicer image dissectors and the focusing mirror arrays from the Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE) are shown before assembly in the laboratory. MUSE is part of ESO's Very Large Telescope and you can learn more about it and it's parts in issue 147 of the Messenger.
