La Silla telescopes

The ESO La Silla Observatory at twilight. From left to right, one sees the 3.6m NTT (square), the double dome of the 3.6m with the tiny 1.4m CAT, the Schmidt telescope, the ESO/MPI 2.2m (silver dome). The 15m SEST radio telescope is visible at a distance, and then the dome of the MARLY 1m telescope (formerly hosting the GPO), followed by the 1m telescope. Currently (2008), ESO operates the 3.6m, the NTT and the 2.2m.
