ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT) 8.2-metre Unit Telescopes (UT) dominate the skyline of ESO's Paranal Observatory in this panorama. As the Sun sets, the observatories are cast into darkness and start to come alive. Two of the four 1.8-metre Auxiliary Telescopes (AT) can be seen in the foreground.
