ALMA water vapour radiometer
The antennas at ESO's Atacama Large Millimetre Array (ALMA) in Chile are so sensitive that the images they obtain are dependent on the amount of water vapour in the atmosphere. This image shows a cutaway of a specialist piece of equipment which measures the amount of vapour and so the observed images can be adjusted accordingly.
