Trasmissione su web dell'eclissi solare da La Silla

Il 2 luglio, alle 21:15 CEST, l'ESO (European Southern Observatory) trasmetterà in diretta l'evento dell'Eclissi Totale Solare del 2019 (La Silla Total Solar Eclipse), qualora le condizioni meteorologiche siano favorevoli e la banda larga di Internet funzioni come previsto. Invitiamo i vari responsabili degli Stati membri, ma non solo, a considerare l'idea di incorporare il webcast all'interno degli eventi pubblici che stanno organizzando per l'eclissi. Invitiamo anche i membri del pubblico a godersi semplicemente la trasmissione sul nostro sito web. Questa è un'opportunità unica di far parte della sola eclissi solare totale visibile da un Osservatorio dell'ESO per i prossimi 212 anni.
Il webcast sarà disponibile in HD sul sito Web dell'ESO e sul canale Youtube dell'ESO e sarà in onda dalle 21:15 CEST fino alla fine dell'eclissi alle 24:00 circa, con inizio della totalità alle 22:39 [1]. Sarà un feed "grezzo" e non includerà commenti, ma ci saranno diversi punti di vista, con le vedute dai telescopi, al massimo tre tra i piccoli telescopi presenti, e anche degli spettatori all'Osservatorio.
Se intendete incorporare la trasmissione ESO durante l'evento organizzato per l'eclissi, compilate il seguente modulo così che possiamo aggiungere l'evento sul sito web dell'eclissi.
In caso di maltempo, il webcast potrebbe essere cancellato. La probabilità di un cielo totalmente limpido a La Silla nel mese di luglio è di circa il 40%. C'è circa il 55% di possibilità che il cielo sia parzialmente libero. C'è una probabilità di oltre il 30% che la copertura nuvolosa sarà spessa. La probabilità che il cielo sia limpido a La Silla è più alta che nella maggior parte delle altre regioni in cui sarà visibile l'eclisse e leggermente migliore della vicina Valle Elqui, ma naturalmente non si può dare nessuna garanzia che il tempo sarà sereno.
Dato l'aumento del numero di visitatori della regione durante l'eclissi e la sua posizione in aree remote del deserto di Atacama, abbiamo preso misure aggiuntive per garantire una connessione a banda larga sufficiente, ma non possiamo garantire che le condizioni siano ottimali in quel giorno.
Un comunicato stampa dell'ESO sarà rilasciato dopo la conclusione dell'eclissi.
