November 2011

Dear Friends,

With December almost here, we are getting ready for our end of year distribution of calendars and Christmas cards. This time we have a special edition of the calendar dedicated to ESO’s 50th Anniversary. Don’t miss it on our online shop!

Don’t forget that ePOD occasionally distributes outreach products via conventional mail, including calendars. If you would like to be on our distribution list please consider providing a complete postal address and other information via this form.

This month we also welcomed a new ESO Photo Ambassador — José Joaquín Pérez. José works in Chile as an agricultural engineer, but he has been taking astrophotographs for over ten years, including from ESO's sites. Read more about him here.

Also joining us as an ESO Outreach Partner Organisation is the Technical Museum of Vienna. Situated on a site of approximately 22 000 m2, the museum offers quite exceptional insights into the world of technology. Be sure to pay them a visit if you are in town. Read more about it here.

Let’s reach new heights in astronomy together,

Lars Lindberg Christensen (lars@eso.org)
Head ESO education and Public Outreach Department
