Najnowsze zdjęcie gwiazdy w kolorach róży w obszarze gwiazdotwórczym Messier 17 zostało wykonane za pomocą instrumentu Wide Field Imager na 2,2-metrowym teleskopie MPG/ESO w Obserwatorium La Silla w Chile, placówce należącej do ESO. Jest to jeden z najostrzejszych obrazów pokazujących całą mgławicę, który nie tylko ukazuje jej pełen rozmiar, ale także nie traci na szczegółowości kosmicznego krajobrazu obłoków gazu, pyłu i niedawno narodzonych gwiazd.
