ELT Prefocal Station

ESO signed a contract with the Spanish company IDIOM in March 2018 for the production of this component of the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT).

Standing over 12 metres high, the Prefocal Station will direct the light collected by the telescope's huge optical system into various scientific instruments and test equipment.
