This aerial view shows the campus in Garching near Munich, Germany, home to ESO Headquarters. 

The egg-shaped building in the lower part of the image to the right is a reactor, used for neutron research, belonging to the Technical University of Munich. Surrounding it are several buildings hosting either research institutes or university facilities. ESO Headquarters is in the building just before the yellow field skirted by a line of trees, slightly to the left of the image centre. In the background, the red roofs of the small town of Garching are visible and, farther away, the urban texture of Munich.
