Milky Way arc above La Silla
Pictured here is the arc of the Milky Way, stretched above ESO's La Silla Observatory on the outskirts of the Chilean Atacama Desert. Due to its location, far from sources of light pollution, La Silla sees many nights such as this throughout the year.
