This page lists the current state of training of the SciOp Astronomers
and TIOs. It is meant as a reference to prepare the schedule (both for new
training and for operation), therefore it will be updated at least every
3 months by the Lead TIOs and Lead Astronomer. Four levels of expertise are
defined:
- Expert: able to set-up and operate the instrument in all modes, including the most difficult situations and set-up,
able to troubleshoot all known and unknown problem to the level of a solution
or an accurate diagnostic. Typically, only Instrument Scientists and Instrument
TIOs reach that level.
- Certified: able to operate the instrument in all modes, and troubleshoot all known problems.
- Training: undergoing training. Is able to fly alone an that instrument,
but still need training to be certified. A white background means that the
person has started training but is not able to fly alone.
- Ignorant: not able to fly alone or not able to fly at all.
