Blue Stragglers Stars as probe-particles of cluster internal dynamics. An observational prospective

This contribution reviews the main observational properties of Blue Straggler Stars (BSS) in Galactic globular 
clusters (GCs). In particular I will discuss the challenges linked with observing these relatively faint stars in 
over-crowded stellar regions as the GC cores, and I'll show that high-resolution UV photometry is the best 
way to address this issue. Based on the results obtained in the last 20 years by following the "UV route", I will 
also show the deep connection that is emerging between the BSS properties and the parent cluster 
dynamical evolution.
