Dear MIDAS users,

I've tried to reproduce this problem but it worked for me in both
98NOVpl2.2 and in 99NOVpl2.0.

98NOVpl2.1 was generated with a version of LessTif shared library
that causes some problems, thus and after the release I created a new
delivery "gui98NOVpl2.1.tar.Z" with just the GUIs linked with the
static library. This file still is available in

ftp://ftp.hq.eso.org/midaspub/98NOV/intel_linux/gui98NOVpl2.1.tar.Z

98NOVpl2.2 was generated with GUIs already using static Lestiff
library. This is the reason why neither 98NOVpl2.2 nor 98NOVpl2.1+
gui98NOVpl2.1.tar.Z showed the "libXm.so.1" with the command
"ldd".

In the latest binary release 99NOVpl2.0 for RedHat 6.1 I give it
a try with the latest release of the LessTif shared library 0.89.9
and it worked. I included this shared library in the delivery
to avoid users the need to install/update the new LessTif in their
PCs. This is way "ldd" command showed again the "libXm.so.1", but
this time to the one located in /midas/99NOV/lib directory.

Could you John confirm if the GUI Long in 99NOVpl2.0 has still
this problem. If so, I would make again a new "gui99NOVpl2.0.tar.gz"
with all GUIs with static LessTiff library.

In your case, Tigran, it should be enough you download the file
"gui98NOVpl2.1.tar.Z" and install it in your 98NOVpl2.1 to get your
problem solved.

Hope I did not make things more confusing.
