Collaboration Case: Move Motor

Description:  Perform motion for beam alignement.

Secondary: FSU-A Alignment Unit, FSU-B Alignment Unit,
MIDI Metrology Motors, AMBER Metrology Motors

Priority: Major

Performance: a few seconds

Frequency: At any time during alignment

Preconditions: 

• all Motors are ONLINE

Basic Course: 

• Send command MOVEABS <axis>,<position> to the Beam Alignment sub-system
• Beam Alignment sub-system initiates the motion to the absolute position <position> on the selected axis
• Beam Alignment sub-system sends OK/ERROR reply

Alternate Course: 

• Send command MOVEREL <axis>,<offset> to the Beam Alignment sub-system
• Beam Alignment sub-system initiates the relative motion of the offset <offset> on the selected axis
• Beam Alignment sub-system sends OK/ERROR reply

Postconditions: 

• Motorized axis is in position standing still; position loop is closed.
