XSHOOTER has a set of telluric standards to be acquired within 2 hours of a science OB. These data are processed by the pipeline and analyzed on the fly by a routine which measures the equivalent width of all telluric lines in a specified window. The results are transformed into PWV values using a curve-of-growth. This method is called WLAMBDA method and has been implemented by Reinhard Hanuschik.
