Hi, I'm Nausicaa Delmotte - Archive Service Developer

Welcome to my virtual home, visitor!

Since Dec. 2004 I have been working at ESO in Garching bei München, Germany as Archive Service Developer within the Advanced Data Products group of the Virtual Observatory Systems Department. Advanced Data Products are highly processed ESO data products, ready for immediate scientific use. They are either produced by the ADP group or by the astronomical community at large.

The VO Systems Department is part of the Data Management and Operations Division.

The main mission of the VO Systems Department is to make the Science Archive Facility (SAF) into a powerful scientific resource for the ESO community and coordinate ESO's involvement in VO activities.

The ESO/ST-ECF SAF is a major node of the Euro-VO initiative that aims at providing the European astronomical community with tools, systems, research support and data interoperability standards and practices necessary to explore the digital, multi-wavelength universe stored in international astronomical data archives.

Post-Doc

From Mar. to Nov. 2004 I worked within the ESO/ST-ECF Science Archive Facility at ESO as Astronomical Database Content Manager.

PhD

I got a European PhD degree in Astrophysics and Virtual Observatory in Nov. 2003 in the general fields of Stellar Populations, Galactic Structure and Star Formation History.
