Software Engineering/Quality assurance activities fall in one of the following categories:

A	issuing of standard, practices, procedures, methodology, tools.
B	providing support for the usage of the above standards
C	measuring the adoption of the above standards
D	assessing the quality of the process in general and improving it
E	adapting the process and the tools to the introduction of new technology, keeping CASE tools up to date
